Product Description
eakin Cohesive® skin barriers are highly absorbent, mouldable strips. They can be cut to size and moulded around your stoma, or within dips and creases in order to support a smooth pouching surface for your pouch.
They can also help protect sore damaged skin, providing a secure layer to prevent output from coming into contact with your skin.

Questions we get asked all the time.
100% yes! eakin® skin barriers are highly mouldable and can be stretched, shaped, torn and rejoined without affecting their performance.
Simply either cut or press the pieces back together and mould the seal to fit the shape of you need.
Yes, eakin® skin barriers are designed to absorb and gradually transform into a protective gel. This is completely normal and shows the seal is absorbing output to protect the skin around your stoma… it has to transform to perform.
The skin barrier will usually come away with your pouch or can be gently peeled away from the skin. Any remaining residue can be removed using a damp cloth or wipe before drying the skin. For stubborn residue, a medical adhesive remover can help remove it gently.
Yes, eakin® skin barriers are compatible with all stoma pouches.
You can order eakin® skin barriers through ConvaTec, your medical device supplier or WOC nurse. Having the product code ready will help make ordering quicker and easier, which you can get above!
Both can be used to protect skin. We would advise using skin barriers if you have lots of dips and creases and need to create a smooth surface for your pouch to stick to.
